The reflections in this book all explore, in one way or another, the core theme that the eternal God is ever present with us in the lives we live: 'God is not far from us, since it is in him we live and move and exist'. (Acts 17:28) We may or may not be aware of it as we rush through life, but God is always with us: 'Invoked or not invoked, God is still there'. (Carl G. Jung) We have, each of us, a life to live in God s abiding presence that leads to a spiritual awakening in the human heart as it grows in awareness of a loving God with us and within us.
 
Each Reflection can be seen as a little window that gives a glimpse of the depth of the mystery of our life with God, which ultimately lies beyond our understanding. This is the life to live if we are to satisfy the deepest longings of our human hearts. It is a life that looks towards Jesus: 'Keep your gaze fixed upon Jesus; in him all the anguish and all the longing of the human heart finds fulfilment.' (Pope Francis) In the reflections we try to do this - keep our gaze fixed on Jesus.
