In this book the author takes a radically new approach to the problem of reconciling the Biblical account of the origin of the universe (creation in six days) and that given by modern science (big bang and evolution). He first assumes that the scientific account is correct and examines how far the Biblical account can be reconciled to it without weakening the Bible's authority. He then assumes that the Biblical account, taken literally, is correct and examines how far the scientific account can be reconciled to this without distorting science. His conclusions are as unexpected as they are helpful.
